Perhaps the greatest jazz saxophonist ever, it is hard to imagine that John Coltrane has affected the entire jazz world so much in such a short period of time, first appearing as a sideman at the age of 29 and dead at the age of 40. Fortunately for jazz lovers, John Coltrane recordings from throughout his career, of which there were many, have been released en masse posthumously.
